On February 20th, 2006, the charter of the Fraternal Order of Police Georgia State Corrections Lodge 102, Fraternal Order of Police was formed to join officers together for the common good. Our primary purpose was to improve monetary benefits of officers through legislation, which we collectively have accomplished. We successfully raised awareness of the plight of P.O.S.T certified correctional staff. The mission of this lodge has not changed. - We will continue to promote and improve the corrections profession, both in pay and other welfare issues. "THE VOICE OF LAW ENFORCEMENT PROFESSIONALS!" The Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) is the world's largest organization of sworn law enforcement officers, with more than two thousand lodges and over 325,000 members. We are the voice of those who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving our communities. We are committed to improving the working conditions of law enforcement officers and the safety of those we serve through education, legislation, information, community involvement, and employee representation. No one knows the dangers and the difficulties faced by today's law enforcement officers better than another officer, and no one knows police officers better than the FOP. The FOP Organization was founded in 1915.
